Do I need a learner’s license first?

No, you do not need a learner’s license to start! One of the biggest advantages of simulator training is that you can practice in a 100% safe, off-road environment. Complete beginners can start building steering, clutch control, and gear-shifting skills even before passing their learner’s theory test.

Is there an age limit for simulator training?

There is no strict legal age restriction! Because our training occurs in a simulated environment, teenagers can build driving muscle memory long before they are legally allowed on public roads. We generally recommend it for drivers aged 15 and older preparing for their K53 journey, but any student who is tall enough to comfortably reach and fully operate the physical vehicle floor pedals is welcome to train with us.

Vehicle Setup & Realism

Is the simulator for manual or automatic driving?

We offer both! You can choose to practice manual transmission (mastering clutch bite points, anti-stall control, smooth gear changes, and incline starts) or automatic driving depending on which driver’s license code (Code 8 / B / EB) you plan to test for.

How realistic is the simulator?

Our simulator setup replicates real-world vehicle physics and standard South African K53 testing conditions. You sit in a dedicated cockpit equipped with a force-feedback steering wheel, physical pedals (clutch, brake, accelerator), gear shifter, handbrake, and realistic visual feedback.
